The YMCA is kicking off its annual Christmas in
July toy collection. During the week of
July 19-24, you can donate new, unwrapped toys at any local Indianapolis
Fire Department location. When you drop off your toy, you will receive a
coupon for free pancake puppies at Denny’s and a free kid’s meal from
Chili’s (while supplies last). |

each month | Helpers Helping Others Task Force and the
Homeless and ReEntry Industry is in need of HELPERS who are willing to
serve as Volunteers, Teachers, Tutors and Mentors that will help persons
who are homeless, or persons who are in and out of our prisons and
jails. We are also working with several Youth, Senior and Veterans

work with or care about youth. We'll have a group discussion about the
meaning of "best practices" and "service-delivery standards", about
"best practice" models already being implemented in Marion County, and
models we would like to see implemented in Marion County. |
Come prepared to discuss your organizations programs and services. Learn
more about what others are doing and perhaps discover ways in which your
agency can partner with other youth serving agencies. Feel free to bring
any supporting materials to share with the group. |

lunches at the the Center and deliver them to the homeless please give

HVAF - Freedom Ride | Please join
us for the Bikers for HVAF 2nd Annual Freedom Ride. This event is
designed to raise awareness for homeless veterans and their families.
The proceeds earned assist in funding the essential programs and
services HVAF provides to homeless and at-risk veterans and families.
The escorted motorcycle ride begins at Harley-Davidson of Indianapolis
and ends downtown at HVAF. Preregistration can be completed online and
day of registration will also available. Registration the day of the
event will begin at 9 a.m. at Harley-Davidson of Indianapolis and the
escorted ride will depart promptly at 10:30 a.m. from Harley-Davidson of
Indianapolis, 4146 East 96th Street and ends at HVAF, at 964 N
Pennsylvania. For more information about the Bikers for HVAF Freedom
